Two Desert Friends: The Sphinx and the Little Fox
There's plenty for your kids to discover here. The sphinx's flowing mane, her calm paws and curious gaze are just as inviting to color as the fluffy fur of the little fox with its big, alert ears. In the background, sand dunes and perhaps a palm tree are waiting to be brought to life with color.
Coloring Idea: Warm Desert Colors Meet Cool Imagination
Feel free to use warm sandy tones, golden yellow and soft terracotta for the sphinx and the landscape, so everything looks like it's basking under a real desert sun. The desert fox, on the other hand, can shine in delicate beige or cream, with a touch of dark brown on the tips of its ears for that typical contrast. If you like, let your imagination run wild and paint the sky in unusual purple or turquoise, after all, anything is possible in the desert at night.
Maybe while coloring you can tell a little story too: how the sphinx once became so lonely that she decided to play tag with the cheeky little fox, and ever since they've been the best of friends in the desert. You can download this picture for free and easily print it at home on A4 paper, then the crayon fun can begin.
